USA Hockey volunteers and staff convene each January for a winter meeting where legislative and/or playing rule proposals and various discussions occur. The 2026 USA Hockey Winter Meeting will take place Thursday, January 15 through Sunday, January 18 at the Renaissance Hotel in Nashville, Tennessee.
The following Playing Rules changes were approved by the USA Hockey Congress at its Winter Meeting on Jan 19, 2025. The changes take effect starting with the 2025-26 season.
The proposals at the link below are anticipated to be approved by the Board of Directors in advance of the Winter Meeting and will therefore be on the Congress agenda for ratification, amendment or repeal.
