The International Ice Hockey Federation will host its fifth annual Global Girls' Game February 8-9, 2020. The Global Girls' Game is a worldwide initiative during which international hockey federations host games in succession around the world.
The fourth annual event took place on Friday, February 15, 2019. In conjunction with this event, USA Hockey highlighted its own piece of the IIHF Global Girls Game — the February 17th Rivalry series game between the the women’s national teams for USA and Canada — along with girls/women's games at varying age levels across the country as part of the United States National Continuous Game that ran from March 15-17, 2019. In all, there were approximately 45 games ranging from the 6U age classification through the professional ranks as part of USA Hockey's National Continuous Girls Game. The IIHF Global Girls Game has approximately 40 countries represented.
