Kettler Capitals Iceplex to Host Two U.S. Select Teams

Under-18 Select Team and Under-17 Select Team will practice before respective tournaments

The U.S. Under-18 Select Team and U.S. Under-17 Select Team will be at the Kettler Capitals Iceplex in Arlington, Virginia, for a series of practices beginning Monday, Aug. 3, in preparation for their respective upcoming tournaments.

All practices are free of charge and open to the public.

The U.S. Under-18 Select Team will compete at the 2015 Ivan Hlinka Memorial Tournament from Aug. 10-15 in Breclav, Czech Republic, and Bratislava, Slovakia, while the U.S. Under-17 Select Team is slated to compete at the Under-17 Five Nations Tournament from Aug. 10-16 in Arosa, Switzerland.

Notes: Derek Plante (Cloquet, Minn.) is the head coach of the 2015 U.S. Under-18 Select Team, with Clark Donatelli (Providence, R.I.), Bob Mancini (Seaford, N.Y.) and Phil Osaer (Livonia, Mich.) serving as assistant coaches … Pat Boller (Queens, N.Y.) is the head coach of the 2015 U.S. Under-17 Select Team, while Cory Laylin (St. Cloud, Minn.) and Dave Lassonde (Rochester, N.H.) will serve as assistant coaches.
