Women's National Team Camp Concludes

Four Day Camp Focused on Off-Ice Training

On Sunday, the U.S. Women's National Team Off-Ice Training Camp concluded in Colorado Springs. The camp, which took place at the U.S. Olympic Training Center, primarily focused on strength and conditioning, nutrition and mental skills.

Twenty-seven of the top female players took part, including 21 members U.S. Women’s National Team that claimed gold at the 2015 International Ice Hockey Federation Women’s World Championship.

The team participated in multiple gym sessions each day with trainers Mike Boyle and Sarah Cahill.

The players also learned about preparing quick and healthy meals during their session with nutritionist Alicia Kendig, and worked on sharpening their mental skills with Dr. Colleen Hacker.
