The Battle at the Broadmoor Celebrity golf tournament featuring players from the Los Angeles Kings raised $50,000 for the USA Hockey Foundation on Wednesday.

The day started off with a lunch at the Broadmoor Golf Club in Colorado Springs, Colo., before a shotgun start to the tournament at 12:30 p.m. A member of the Kings joined each foursome competing in the tournament.

Tournament participants enjoyed great weather conditions throughout the day on the Broadmoor’s East course. Several Team USA alumni competed in the golf tournament including current NHLers Dustin Brown, Matt Greene, and Alec Martinez.

Following the tournament, players attended a cocktail reception and dinner at the Lake Terrace Dining Room, where the USA Hockey Foundation received a check with the proceeds from the day.

The Battle at the Broadmoor continues Thursday night when the Colorado Avalanche and Los Angeles Kings face off in a preseason game at the Broadmoor World Arena. The game starts at 7 p.m.
