What They're Saying

Jeff Kampersal – Head Coach
On what to expect from the Czech Republic… “We expect a good challenge from the Czech Republic and we'll need to be at our best to come out on top.”

On what his team needs to do to be successful… “We continue to stress to our players the things we need to focus on in our game in order to be at our best and we’ve also reviewed the opposing team’s tendencies, so we should be fully prepared to meet the challenge."

Hilary Witt –Scout
On what the U.S. needs to be mindful of against the Czech Republic… “The Czech Republic has a few dangerous players in particular and we will need to keep an eye on them while continuing to use our speed and skill to our advantage.”

On what will be different than earlier games in the tournament… “We will get tested more in our own zone than we have in previous games so it will be a good test for our team and how we respond to increased pressure in our end. That also means there will be more pressure on our goaltending and we'll have to come up with timely saves.”
