The U.S. Olympic Men’s Ice Hockey Team concludes its preliminary-round schedule in the XXII Olympic Winter Games today against Slovenia at Shayba Arena at 7:30 a.m. The game will be broadcast live on NBC Sports Network. A live stream is also available via NBC Sports Live Extra.
The U.S. Olympic Men’s Ice Hockey Team has never played Slovenia in the Olympics. In IIHF Men’s World Championship competition, the U.S. is 3-0-0-0-0 (W-OTW-L-OTL-T) and has outscored Slovenia, 19-3. The last meeting between the two teams came on May 4, 2008 -- a 5-1 U.S. victory.
Team USA (1-1-0-0) can clinch Group A and a bye into Wednesday's (Feb. 19) quarterfinals with a victory.
