The 2014 U.S. Olympic Women's Ice Hockey Team continues preliminary-round play in the XXII Olympic Winter Games today against Switzerland at 5 a.m. ET. The game will be broadcast live on NBC Sports Network. A live stream is also available via NBC Sports Live Extra.
The United States and Switzerland have only played on one other occasion at the Olympic Winter Games -- a 6-0 U.S. victory on Feb. 11, 2006, in Torino, Italy -- and the Americans hold an 8-0-0-0 overall record against the Swiss in international competition. The last meeting between the two teams came at the 2012 IIHF Women's World Championship in Burlington, Vt., which was won by the U.S., 10-0.
Team USA (1-0-0-0) defeated Finland, 3-1, Saturday to open tournament play. Switzerland (0-0-0-1) is coming off a 5-0 loss to Canada.
