Ticket Info for USA-Canada in St. Paul Announced

USA Hockey announced today that tickets for the USA vs. Canada Olympic Exhibition hockey game on Dec. 28 at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn., featuring the U.S. Women’s National Team, will go on sale at 12 noon on Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Xcel Energy Center Box Office, Ticketmaster Ticket Centers, charge by phone at 800-745-3000 or online at www.ticketmaster.com.

The Olympic Exhibition game will feature the 2013-14 U.S. Women’s National Team playing Canada in preparation for the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia.

“We’re excited to bring this game to the State of Hockey,” said Reagan Carey, director of women’s hockey at USA Hockey and the general manager of the 2014 U.S. Olympic Women’s Ice Hockey Team. “The U.S.-Canada rivalry is the best in the world and fans will be treated to not only world-class hockey, but also to the last game our team will play in the U.S. prior to the Olympics.”

The U.S. Women’s National Team will play Canada just two other times in the U.S. in preparation for Sochi, including Oct. 12 at Gutterson Fieldhouse in Burlington, Vt., and Dec. 20 at Ralph Engelstad Arena in Grand Forks, N.D. In addition, the U.S. will host the Four Nations Cup in Lake Placid, N.Y., with Canada, Sweden and Finland, Nov. 4-9.

The U.S. Women’s National Team has played at the Xcel Energy Center five previous times in preparation for the Olympic Winter game, including Oct. 6, 2001; Sept. 20, 2005; Dec. 30, 2005; Sept. 25, 2009; and Dec. 30, 2009.
