COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Brianna Decker (Dousman, Wis.) and Meghan Duggan (Danvers, Mass.) of the U.S. Women's National Team have been named 2013-14 Team for Tomorrow Athlete Ambassadors by the United States Olympic Committee.

Team for Tomorrow is a humanitarian outreach program that was initiated in 2008 and has since featured 33 athlete ambassadors who have combined with their Olympic and Paralympic teammates for more than 400 volunteer hours.

Along with 10 additional ambassadors in the 2013-14 program, Decker and Duggan will serve as philanthropic captains of the 2014 U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Teams. They will act as advocates and champions of the effort by spreading awareness about Team for Tomorrow’s causes and leading the way through volunteerism and goodwill.

This class of Team for Tomorrow athletes will work with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and the YMCA, as well as other local sport and community organizations to coordinate athlete visits and sport equipment donations on behalf of the program both leading up to and following the 2014 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia.

A complete list and bios of the ambassadors can be found here. For more information on the program, visit Team for Tomorrow.

NOTES: Decker, Duggan and their teammates will make their first community appearance of the season at the eighth annual Agganis Special Olympics Day on Sept. 14 at World Series Park in Saugus, Mass. ... All 25 players will take part in the opening ceremony at 11:30 a.m., marching in the parade and interacting with those in attendance by signing autographs and posing for pictures.
