16th Annual Labatt Blue/USA Hockey Pond Hockey National Championships to Take Place This Weekend

Event runs Feb. 11-13 on Dollar Lake in Eagle River, Wis.

The 16th annual Labatt Blue/USA Hockey Pond Hockey National Championships will take place this Friday through Sunday (Feb. 11-13) on Dollar Lake in Eagle River, Wis.

“The annual pond hockey national championships are a big tradition for both the players and for USA Hockey,” said Katie Holmgren, USA Hockey director of program services and tournament director. “We’re looking forward to a fun and competitive weekend. We can’t thank our local Eagle River volunteers enough for their hard work to make this such an incredible event every year.”

The 2022 Labatt Blue/USA Hockey Pond Hockey National Championship will include nearly 2,000 players across 20 divisions. This year’s tournament comes after last year’s event was canceled due to the pandemic.

As part of the celebration, this year’s event will include a social gathering with a special Team USA watch party on Thursday night (Feb. 10) at the Eagle River Derby Track.

The 23-year-old goaltender has previously played in the NA3HL, the NAHL and Division III college hockey

Wagner has been playing semi-weekly in a senior pickup game in Mequon, Wisconsin, for more than 25 years.

The rink has hosted Try Hockey For Free events for three straight weekends
