The 2022 BioSteel All-American Game takes place this afternoon at USA Hockey Arena in Plymouth, Michigan. Puck drop is scheduled for 4 p.m. ET. Tickets for the game are available here

USA Hockey Arena will play host to more than 210 NHL scouts, and 44 players hoping to hear their names called at the NHL Draft. In the scouting world, you may hear that a game like tonight doesn’t make or break a career, tonight’s game does serve as an important benchmark for evaluators to see how players play against the best competition in their age group. In total, 51 first round draft picks and more than 240 players have been selected in the NHL Draft since the game’s debut in 2012.

Rosters are made up of players from the U.S. National Under-18 Team of USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program and the United States Hockey League, the lone Tier I junior league in the United States.

The event is also a celebration for youth organizations across the country. The 44 players participating in tonight's game hail from 20 different states. Minnesota leads the way with 10 representatives, followed by Massachusetts and New Jersey with four apiece. California, Michigan and Pennsylvania all have three representatives.

Forty-two players competing in tonight's game are committed to NCAA programs. Boston College and the University of Minnesota boast five commits apiece, while the University of Michigan has four preparing to attend school in nearby Ann Arbor. Twelve programs have multiple athletes involved, and 18 total schools are represented.

Fans can tune in to NHL Network at 4:00 pm ET for a live broadcast. E.J. Hradek, Craig Button and Jon Morosi will be featured on the call live from USA Hockey Arena.
