Manages delivery of assigned projects from kickoff to delivery of post-launch support for end users

Job Title: Business Systems Analyst, IT
Reports To: Director, Software Development
Location:  USA Hockey National Office (Colorado Springs, Colo.)
Basic Function: Responsible to manage delivery of assigned projects from kickoff to delivery of post-launch support for end users ensuring the efficient and effective use of software.  This includes the efficient operation of the company’s business systems, applications, all related equipment and software through best practices management and documentation. Handling of documentation for support items and fixes, coordinating team members and communicating with internal and external stakeholders, under supervision of IT development director. Will collaborate on user interface design, database design, management and maintenance. 

Essential Job Functions

  • Identify and ensure proficiency with all software applications used and supported by the organization.
  • Responsible for implementation and maintenance of critical business applications.
  • Independently execute enterprise application system administration via a structured, documented and planned approach.
  • Maintain the data integrity of business system by following established departmental approval protocols.
  • Create and deploy feedback mechanisms for end users, including all associated documentation.  
  • Field incoming problem tickets from end users to resolve application and software issues, documenting appropriately within helpdesk system as part of post deployment process.
  • Prioritize, schedule, document and administer all instances where enhancements and defect resolution are required.
  • Record, track, and document the problem-solving process.
  • Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent repeated future problems.
  • Communicate application problems and issues to key stakeholders, including management, development teams, end users, and unit leaders.
  • Test fixes and perform post-resolution follow-ups to ensure problems have been adequately resolved within expected SLA timeframes when applicable.
  • Maintain and enhance performance of all new and existing software and applications across the organization.
  • Coordinate with department heads to assess departmental application needs and objectives.
  • Independently execute assigned projects, including deliverables, schedules and documentation based on business goals and input from stakeholders under the direction of the IT Development Director.
  • Manage delivery of assigned projects and associated post-launch support.
  • Coordinate, implement and maintain support process for all project launches.
  • Collaborate with external development staff and designers to meet business goals and project objectives.
  • Independently offer input and insight on project phases, timelines or deliverables.
  • Identify any revenue potential in assigned projects.
  • Interact with USA Hockey members on issues of tech support or customer service.
  • Provide scheduled updates to stakeholders and IT staff of progress
  • Other duties as assigned, including, but not limited to on-call availability during project deployments.
