USA Hockey announced today the hiring of Amber Aragon as manager of annual giving for The USA Hockey Foundation and Dave Caruso as manager of coaching education.

ABOUT ARAGON

Aragon, a native of Colorado Springs, Colo., comes to USA Hockey after spending the past six years as membership and merchandise manager for USA Shooting, a role that also included oversight of direct mail fundraising for the organization the last three years.

Among her many accomplishments at the national governing body of Olympic Shooting Sports, she executed legacy and event fundraising that generated six-figure revenue and increased profits for the merchandise operation more than eight-fold.

Aragon’s background also includes experience in human resource management while working and studying at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs where she earned a business degree in sport management and marketing in 2013, and served as an intern in event management with the Colorado Springs Sports Corporation.

ABOUT CARUSO

Caruso, a native of Roswell, Georgia, joins USA Hockey after spending the last two seasons as a goaltending consultant for The Ohio State University men’s ice hockey program where he was part of a coaching staff that helped lead the Buckeyes to the 2019 Big Ten regular-season title and also to a spot in the 2018 NCAA Men’s Frozen Four.

Caruso, who since 2016 has been the goaltending development coordinator for USA Hockey’s Mid-American District, played goal for Ohio State from 2002-06 and is the school’s all-time leader in career goals against average at 2.07.

He went on to a six-year professional career in the Atlanta Thrashers and New Jersey Devils organizations, playing in the AHL and ECHL. He also spent two years as the goalie coach for the Albany Devils, then the AHL affiliate of the New Jersey Devils.
