The 2019 Boys Select 15 Player Development Camp officially began today here in Amherst, New York, with more than 200 of the top players born in 2004 arriving on the University at Buffalo campus. The camp, which runs through Saturday (July 20), provides the players age-appropriate on- and off-ice training and the opportunity to compete against their peers from across the country.

Opening Meeting & Team Activity
After arriving on campus, getting checked in and dropping their bags off at their rooms, players attended the opening camp meeting. The staff was players were introduced to the staff members and the camp leaders laid out the expectations for the next five days.

Following the meeting, teams participated in their first of four team-building challenges during camp. Today's challenge had the players on each team standing in a circle while holding hands. Before the final two players joined hands, a hula hoop was placed around their arms.
