Day two of the Girls 15 Player Development Camp got started bright and early with warmups and stretches led by the strength and conditioning staff to get the girls ready for a busy day ahead.

Teams then hit the ice for their first practices of camp. Each practice included two teams on the ice to participate in a variety of small-area games and fun drills. The netminders also hit the ice together for a separate goalies-only practice, highlighted by individual drills, and group games such as keep away and knockout.

Teams gathered for a presentation by U.S. U18 Women’s National Team head coach Maura Crowell, who arrived in St. Cloud late last night (July 12). During the 45-minute talk, the girls avidly took notes as Crowell laid out what she’s looking to see from players throughout the week and broke down footage of the 2019 IIHF U18 Women’s World Championship, as well as discussing the style of play they’re looking to implement at next year’s tournament.

The first set of games began at 3:45 p.m. Central Time. Short recaps and box score links can be found below.

Following the games, team leaders held their last meetings of the day with the girls before heading back to campus and calling it a night in preparation for Day 3.
