The 2019 Para Ice Hockey World Championship will serve as Team USA's final international competition of the season. The U.S., which holds a season record of 6-0-0-1 (W-OTW-OTL-L), enters the tournament seeking its fourth gold medal after claiming the 2009, 2012 and 2015 world championships. Since winning the gold medal at the 2014 Paralympic Winter Games, the United States has captured nine of its last 10 international tournaments and amassed an overall tournament record of 48-2-1-1 (W-OTW-OTL-L). Highlighted among its nine tournament wins are the 2015 IPC Sled Hockey World Championship on home ice in Buffalo, New York, and its unprecedented third-straight gold medal at the 2018 Paralympic Winter Games in PyeongChang, South Korea.
