COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Beth Mahr has been named manager of disabled hockey for USA Hockey it was announced today.
Mahr comes to USA Hockey after three years as manager of diversity and inclusion and sport science at U.S. Lacrosse in Baltimore, Maryland, where she played a lead role in onboarding wheelchair lacrosse into the U.S. Lacrosse portfolio. Among her other varied duties, Mahr also produced content related to diversity and inclusion and sport science for the communication channels within U.S. Lacrosse; was involved with the organization’s events team in staging national tournaments and the U.S. Lacrosse Convention; and planned and executed the biennial U.S. Lacrosse Sports Medicine Symposium.
Mahr earned a sports marketing degree from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Penn., in 2014, and served as a training site and community partnerships intern at the U.S. Olympic Committee in Colorado Springs, Colo., the last six months of 2015.
A native of Finksburg, Maryland, Mahr will begin her duties with USA Hockey on March 27.
