Schedule Set for 2019 Sled Series Between the U.S. and Canada

HockeyTV to live stream both games on March 22-23 in Indian Trail, North Carolina

The 2018-19 U.S. National Sled Hockey Team will host Canada in a two-game series in Indian Trail, North Carolina, from March 22-23. Both games, which will include a 3:30 p.m. ET faceoff on March 22 and a 4:00 p.m. ET tilt on March 23, will be streamed live on HockeyTV.

The United States will conduct practices beginning Wednesday, March 20, prior to its meetings against Canada. The Series marks the second international competition of the season for the U.S. National Sled Hockey Team after capturing an unprecedented fifth-straight Para Hockey Cup in London, Ontario, with a 5-4 championship game victory over Canada last December.

Fans can attend both games free of charge while live streaming by HockeyTV will be available at USAHockey.HockeyTV.com. Team USA will be led by captain Josh Pauls (Green Brook, N.J.), alternate captains Declan Farmer (Tampa, Fla.) and Rico Roman (Portland, Ore.); and goaltender Steve Cash (Overland, Mo.). The Series will serve as a final tuneup ahead of the 2019 Para Ice Hockey World Championship that will be held in Ostrava, Czech Republic, from April 27-May 4. Taking place for the 10th time, the United States will enter the event seeking its fourth gold-medal after claiming the 2009, 2012 and 2015 world championships. This is the second time the tournament will take place in Ostrava, where the United States captured its inaugural world championship gold medal in 2009.
