After safely arriving last night in Seoul, Korea, the 2018 U.S. Paralympic Sled Hockey Team went through Team Processing today before finally reaching the PyeongChang Paralympic Village tonight.
TEAM PROCESSING
Earlier today, the U.S. players and staff went through team processing to get outfitted in Team USA apparel. The players visited with NIKE to try on their medal stand uniforms, Polo Ralph Lauren for Opening and Closing Ceremony outfits and many more. Players also were size for their official Paralympic rings, took Team USA headshots and visited with Team USA digital media.
FACEBOOK LIVE
During team processing, goaltenders Steve Cash (Overland, Mo.) and Jen Lee (San Francisco, Calif.) were joined by forward Rico Roman (Portland, Ore.) for a Facebook Live Q&A on the U.S. Paralympics Facebook Page. During the live filming, the trio — all gold medalists from the 2014 U.S. Paralympic Sled Hockey Team — answered questions about themselves and the team. GET TO KNOW: MISSOURI NATIVES CASH, HANNING
Today's entry of the 'Get To Know The 2018 U.S. Paralympic Sled Team' featured Missouri natives Steve Cash (Overland, Mo.) and Billy Hanning (High Ridge, Mo.). While Cash, who was the U.S. Flag Bearer for the Closing Ceremony of the 2014 Paralympics, is competing in his fourth Paralympic Winter Games, Hanning will be making his Paralympic debut here in PyeongChang. Hanning actually discovered the sport of sled hockey by watching a television feature on Cash and his Paralympic success.
