Washington, D.C. – Team USA arrived here just after 2:30 a.m. and checked into its hotel to mark a 24-hour period in which the team was in three different capital cities, including Columbus (capital of Ohio), Ottawa (capital of Canada) and Washington, D.C. (capital of USA).

Team USA had today completely off and most players and staff didn’t rise until very late morning. The team and some staff gathered to watch today’s NFL games in Alexandria, Virginia, at an establishment arranged by forward T.J. Oshie, who plays for the NHL’s Washington Capitals.

Various forms of exploring the nation’s capital by players and staff were part of the day, which also included visiting varying dining spots throughout the district.

Team USA will practice tomorrow at 9:15 a.m. at Verizon Center, home of the Washington Capitals.
