BJ Ringrose assumed the role of manager of officiating education and development in November 2022 after previously serving as the manager of officiating education in January of 2022. He joined the USA Hockey staff in May of 2009 as coordinator of officiating education.

Ringrose supports the daily operations of the USA Hockey Officiating Program including registration and education, and coordinates various development events during the season. Additionally, he works closely with the volunteer District Referees-in-Chief to promote officiating development and education throughout the country.

Additionally, Ringrose was appointed to the Certification Committee of the Hockey Equipment Certification Council in 2019 where he serves as a referee liaison and assists with the promotion of player safety and equipment standards in USA Hockey.

His officiating background includes over 25 years of experience at various levels, including 10 seasons at the minor professional level (AHL & ECHL) and four at the NCAA Division I level (ECAC & Atlantic League).

Prior to joining USA Hockey's staff, Ringrose served the USA Hockey Officiating Program as a volunteer in the New York District. In addition to serving on the Capital District Ice Hockey Officials Association Executive Board, he has instructed at local USA Hockey seminars and the NYSAHA Officiating Development Camp for over 10 years.

He holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from The Sage Colleges of Albany, N.Y.
