BJ Ringrose currently serves as the Manager of the Officiating Education Program, a position he now holds since joining the USA Hockey National Staff as a Coordinator in May 2009.
He supports the daily operations of the USA Hockey Officiating Program including registration and education, and coordinates various development events during the season. Additionally, he works closely with the volunteer District Referees-in-Chief to promote officiating development and education throughout the country.
Additionally, BJ was appointed to the Executive Board of the Hockey Equipment Certification Council (HECC) in 2019 where he serves as a Referee Liaison and assists with the promotion of player safety and equipment standards in USA Hockey.
BJ's officiating background includes over twenty-five years of experience at various levels, including ten seasons at the minor professional level (AHL & ECHL) and four at the NCAA Division I level (ECAC & Atlantic League).
Prior to joining USA Hockey's staff, BJ served the USA Hockey Officiating Program as a volunteer in the New York District. In addition to serving on the Capital District Ice Hockey Officials Association Executive Board, he has instructed at local USA Hockey seminars and the NYSAHA Officiating Development Camp for over ten years.
He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from The Sage Colleges of Albany, NY.
