As many of you have now heard, Grandpa Bob Wright's wife, Jeanne, passed away recently following a long illness. Bob and his wife have been so generous to the RVHA over the years. It's impossible to put into words how much they have done for us, and Jeanne's loss will be felt by many. Here is a message from Bob regarding funeral arrangements for Jeanne: On Saturday, October 10th, there will be a funeral service for Marjorie Wright at the First Baptist Church in Taylors Falls, Minnesota, from 10:00-11:00a.m. All are invited to attend a remembrance luncheon at the Legion Post in St. Croix Falls from 11a.m. to 1:00p.m. that day. Your presence is welcome to help celebrate the life of my wife of 60 years. Jeanne thought hockey was great, unless she had to stand outside (like in Alaska 58 years ago). Love to all, Wild GPA Bob Wright |
River Valley Hockey Association has lost one of it's own. Greg Johnson died as result of a car accident on May 29, 2009. Greg has been coaching with RVHA for 7+ years, mainly working with the '94, '95, and '96 players. The true volunteer, Greg had no relation to the players and only coached because he loved the players and the game. Greg will be deeply missed by the RVHA. Our prayers go out to Greg's family and friends and the group of players that he coached. The RVHA is accepting memorials for Greg to be used to assure that we never forget him and what he meant to us. |
