2009 Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award
An award of The USA Hockey Foundation, the Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award recognizes the accomplishments of the most outstanding player in NCAA Division I women’s ice hockey each season. Other selection criteria include outstanding individual and team skills, sportsmanship, performance in the clutch, personal character, competitiveness and a love of hockey. Consideration is also given to academic achievement and civic involvement.

The USA Hockey Foundation will present the 12th annual Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award to the top player in NCAA Division I women's ice hockey at an award brunch on Saturday (March 21) at the Royal Sonesta Hotel Boston at 10 a.m. The ceremony, in conjunction with the NCAA Women’s Frozen Four in Boston, will feature the three finalists, the Frozen Four participating teams and NESN's Kathryn Tappen as the master of ceremonies.

With 36 points in 21 games, Boston College's Kelli Stack is among the nation’s scoring leaders. Her seven power-play goals also are near the top of charts, just two off the national lead. She's also a potential candidate for the 2009 Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award.
