Lee Meyer joined USA Hockey in May 2004 as the director of corporate marketing. In September 2006, he was promoted to senior director of corporate marketing, where he oversees USA Hockey’s online store, corporate sponsorships, licensing, product development and product procurement. In his time at USA Hockey, he has increased existing sponsor revenue and added new sponsors, leading to an 87 percent increase in annual revenue.
Meyer has more than thirty years of corporate leadership experience and has been instrumental in the turnaround of various companies, achieving cost reduction and improved business performance through detailed business review.
Prior to USA Hockey, he served as president of Stellar Business Solutions, a start-up consulting and financial software package company. In his four years there, he helped attain an average of 30 percent operating expense reduction.
Entering the corporate world out of the University of Tulsa, Meyer first worked for Procter and Gamble Company for four years before joining Current, Inc. Current was then purchased by the Deluxe Corporation, where he stayed for 21 years, working in various capacities. He first served as the vice president of production and fulfillment, before being promoted to senior vice president and general manager of the corporation, a position in which he reversed a declining sales trend and launched three new businesses.
Meyer was then named president of the Current, Inc. and PaperDirect, Inc. subsidiaries of Deluxe Corporation. In this role, he was responsible for all facets of the two direct marketing and manufacturing businesses and reversed a declining sales trend yet again, improving operating profit by more than 50 percent.
In 1999, he joined the American Pad and Paper Company and served as president of the Creative Card Company facet. In this venture, he was part of the executive team that led a turnaround of total corporate performance.
In addition to his work with USA Hockey, Meyer has served on the Leadership Committee of the Direct Marketing Association and the Corporate Committee of the United Way of Colorado Springs. He has also been appointed to the Board of Directors for the Greeting Card Association, the Urban League of the Pikes Peak Region and for Colorado Springs Christian Schools, as well as the Advisory Board of the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs School of Business.
He graduated from the University of Tulsa in 1974 with a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering.
