USA HOCKEY WEBSITE PLATFORM

The long awaited migration to the new USA Hockey website platform occurred last season.  This launch as evidenced by the new look and feel of the PNAHA website proved to be a bit of a challenge to most volunteer organizations.  The previous platform did not require users to have an HTML background, where the new platform is very robust and does require more than a basic understanding of HTML.  To complicate this migration a number of bugs existed in the program that had to be worked through.

This new platform and the tools that come with it is a wonderful addition to our communication arsenal.  With anything new and as robust as this new system is...well, a few bumps can be expected and time for volunteers to acquire user skills is needed.  Your patience is appreciated as the PNAHA webmasters and local association webmasters are coming up to speed learning how to utilize this new platform and tools.

PNAHA had goals to make a number of changes to the website last season but held off implementing some of these changes while the underlaying issues were being worked and the other contributors to this website were working through the learning curve.  We are pleased that the majority of the previous issues have been resolved.  PNAHA users are now learning how to utilize this new platform and we expect to see improvement this season in our ability to add communications utilizing this medium.

During the summer months and early fall we will be working to incorporate the changes we have desired to implement.  Member associations and member teams within PNAHA are gearing up for the 2008-09 season and are just now starting to finalize their plans.  They are also just starting to communicate those changes that have occured in leadership within their organizations to PNAHA.  As we are provided information we will update this site to reflect those changes.

We are looking forward to an exciting 2008-2009 season and the opportunity to renew friendships and create new friendships in this sport that we all love.

2008-09 HOCKEY REGISTRATION ONLINE

All players within PNAHA are required to register online with USA Hockey starting the 2008-09 season.  USA Hockey started offering online registration three years ago.  Online registration has proved to be very successful across the country and streamlines the registration process for associations within the affiliate.  Some associations within PNAHA started utilizing the online registration process over the last two years.  These associations found the process to be easy to use, and found that the system reduced data entry errors.

Once players have registered online they can print out a confirmation form.  They need to take this confirmation form to the association that they decided to join and present them to the registrar so that he/she may "claim" that player for the 2008-09 season.  Note that if you should happen to loose your confimation form that the local association registrar will be able to locate you in the system manually.
