Farabee tallied three points on the night

Joel Farabee (Cicero, N.Y.) had three points on the night with a goal and two assists and K’Andre Miller (Minnetonka, Minn.) recorded a goal and an assist tonight to help the U.S. National Under-18 Team defeat the Central Illinois Flying Aces 4-2 at USA Hockey Arena.

The U18s are now 6-1-0 (W-L-T) in USHL play this season and 14-10-0 overall.

Skater Leaders

Jonathan Gruden (Rochester, Mich.) scored on the power play at 18:37 of the first to strike first for Team USA. Mattias Samuelsson (Voorhees, N.J.) and Farabee assisted on the goal.

At 6:48 in the second, Farabee scored with a deflection off a shot from Miller to make it 2-0. Spencer Stastney (Mequon, Wis.) also tallied an assist on the goal.

Miller drove to the net and scored a goal off his backhand at 13:54 in the second. Farabee assisted on the goal.

Bode Wilde (Birmingham, Mich.) scored in third with assists from Jack DeBoer (Madison, N.J.) and Erik Middendorf (Scottsdale, Ariz.) to make it 4-0.

Central Illinois scored twice in the third to make it 4-2.

Drew DeRidder (Fenton, Mich.) had 25 saves on the night for Team USA.

The U18s next play on Saturday, Dec. 16, against Michigan State University at USA Hockey Arena. Puck drops at 7:05 p.m. Tickets are available at usahockeyntdp.com/tix
