Kim Folsom Will Replace Briggle in Leading Member Services

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Rae Briggle, who for the last 26 years has overseen USA Hockey’s member services department, will be retiring from the organization on August 31.

“Rae has meant so much to our organization and she’ll be dearly missed by not only those in our national office, but also the large number of volunteers she’s interacted with over the course of multiple decades,” said Dave Ogrean, executive director of USA Hockey. “She helped lead our organization through an amazing transformation, from what we used to do on paper in registering players and teams, to today’s digital age. And she has always taken to heart what the term member services means, being there to lend a helping hand to anyone across the country that needed it.”

“We’ve benefitted greatly from having Rae part of the USA Hockey staff for such a long time,” said Jim Smith, president of USA Hockey. “She’s been a great conduit from the national office to our affiliates and associations across the country and played a significant role in ensuring we’ve served our membership well all across the U.S.”

“I’ll miss USA Hockey and all those involved,” said Briggle, “but I’m also looking forward to this next chapter in life. USA Hockey is a great organization and I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to work with wonderful people who are so dedicated to this great game. It’s been a most excellent adventure.”

Kim Folsom, who is currently executive assistant and administrative support manager of USA Hockey, will replace Briggle in leading member services on Sept. 1.

Folsom has been with USA Hockey since 1989 and served in varying capacities.

“Kim has spent her entire career at USA Hockey and has seen every bit of its growth and change, its challenges and successes, over nearly three decades,” said Ogrean. “She is extremely knowledgeable of our entire organization and will do an outstanding job leading our member services department moving forward.”

“I’m excited about the opportunity to lead member services,” said Folsom. “Rae and her team have done a terrific job and I look forward to working with the department, registrars and local programs to continue to build on what is currently in place."
