Member Services/Officiating Administrator

Responsible for providing assistance to Member Services and Officiating

BASIC FUNCTION: Responsible for providing assistance to Member Services and Officiating Departments and other Departments as required.


Officiating Department

  • Prepare Officiating registration packets, cards and crests for mailing
  • Prepare mailings for District Referees-In-Chief
  • Prepare materials for DOS Seminars and Summer Camps
  • Assist with additional Officiating projects as required

Member Services Department

  • Develop a complete understanding of USA Hockey at the local, state and district levels
  • Database maintenance for all member types
  • Verbal and written communication with the general membership
  • Assist with compiling reports
  • Provide support for member programs using the USA Hockey Portal
  • Experience/Interest in working on product development and testing
  • Attend weekly Department meetings
  • Assist in preparation for Winter Meeting and Annual Congress
  • Attend all Registrar meetings at Annual Congress and other meetings as assigned
  • Assist at Registration desk as needed during Annual Congress
  • Lunch time phone coverage for the reception desk as required
  • Perform other duties as assigned (throughout the organization)


  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook, database management, and data entry
  • Patience and careful attention to detail a must
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to effectively manage several projects simultaneously
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Enthusiastic, positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Knowledge of hockey and understanding of non-profit, volunteer organization helpful
