Two-time Paralympic gold medalist Steve Cash (Overland, Mo.) will take part in a media teleconference in advance of the one-year out mark to the 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Pyeongchang, South Korea, on Monday, February 6.

Last December, Cash helped lead Team USA to its sixth-consecutive international title at the 2016 (Dec.) World Sled Hockey Challenge in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Cash earned four victories in four games while finishing with a tournament-leading .921 save percentage. The netminder was also named U.S. Player of the Game in a 5-2 victory over Canada in the tournament’s championship game.

Cash, who owns 77 career wins in goal for Team USA, backstopped the U.S. to gold in both the 2014 Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia, and the 2010 Paralympic Games in Vancouver, Canada. He also earned a bronze medal at the 2016 Paralympic Games in Torino, Italy.

The U.S. continues its 2016-17 campaign at the 2017 International Paralympic Committee Sled Hockey World Championship from April 11-20 in Gangneung, South Korea. Team USA, the defending gold medalist in the event, will be among seven federations competing for gold in what is doubling as a test event for the PyeongChang 2018 Paralympic Winter Games.
