Amanda Pelkey (Montpelier, Vt.) has replaced Amanda Kessel (Madison, Wis.) on the roster for the 2016 Four Nations Cup due to injury. Kessel recently suffered a lower body injury during her time with the New York Riveters of the NWHL and will miss the tournament, held November 1-5 in Vierumaki, Finland.

"It's unfortunate that she (Kessel) was injured and is unable to participate but we have full confidence in Amanda (Pelkey) and know that she can contribute to the national team as she has at recent events," said Reagan Carey, general manager of the U.S. Women's National Team. "I'm pleased that we've built a strong player pool that is deep with talented players who can readily step in at the highest level without lessening our chances for success. We'll continue to monitor Kessel's progress and evaluate her status for upcoming camps and events."

Pelkey most recently was a member of the 2016 U.S. Women's National Team that won the gold medal at the IIHF Women's World Championship this past April in Kamloops, British Columbia.

The U.S. Women's National Team is taking part in a camp at the Northwell Health Ice Center at Eisenhower Park in East Meadow, New York from October 24-28 before the team departs for Finland on October 28.
