As a result of on-going efforts through USA Hockey’s Junior Officiating Development Program, four graduates of the program were offered contracts with the National Hockey League at the conclusion of the 2015-16 season.

Seven new officials were added to the NHL ranks for the upcoming season and three are Americans who participated in the program. Referees Furman South (Pittsburgh, Pa.) and Cameron Voss (Maplewood, Minn.) and linesman Ryan Daisy (Mansfield, Mass.) all advanced through the program and earned their current assignment. The fourth graduate of the program is linesmen Peter MacDougal (Lumsden, Sask.).

USA Hockey’s Junior Officiating Development Program is focused on identification, recruitment, training, education, assignment, supervision and promotion of the top young officials in the United States.
