DeGregorio retired as president of USA Hockey this past June.

MOSCOW, Russia – Ron DeGregorio, who serves as co-chair of the board of USA Hockey, was elected here today to a spot on the International Ice Hockey Federation Council.

“I’m honored to be elected,” said DeGregorio. “There were so many quality candidates running. I’ll work diligently during my term to help improve and grow our great sport across the world.”

DeGregorio retired as president of USA Hockey this past June after a 40-plus-year career as one of the top volunteers in the history of USA Hockey, including a 12-year stint as president.

Tony Rossi, who is also one of USA Hockey's most-heralded volunteers (now retired), is finishing an eight-year run as a member of the IIHF Council here this week. He was not eligible to run for re-election.
