Both the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal explored American hockey and USA Hockey player development yesterday with stories focused on the new wave of U.S.-born talent starring in the NHL and beyond.

USA Hockey Has No Need for Miracles Anymore – New York Times

The Quote: “We wanted to have a program that would elevate the status of Team USA at all levels,” said Ron DeGregorio, former USA Hockey president. “No longer did we want to rely on miracles. We wanted to make sure we were a contender year in and year out in international play."
