USA Hockey’s Mobile Coach application is a finalist for a Sports Technology Award in the category of Best Technology for Managers and Coaches.

The Sports Technology Awards recognize the most innovative sports-related technologies and organizations on an international level. Winners in each category will be revealed on April 15.

Mobile Coach is a portable resource designed specifically for hockey coaches, providing practice plans, drills, videos, safety information and more. The application has been downloaded more than 110,000 times, and recent developments include the ability to design custom practice plans, a player activity tracker and scores of coaching articles.

“Mobile Coach has been a tremendous resource for our coaches,” said Dave Ogrean, executive director of USA Hockey. “It is a market leader and we're extremely pleased to have been recognized as a finalist for a Sports Technology Award."
