GAMEDAY: USWNT Faces Finland Today at Four Nations Cup

Team USA Set for Puck Drop at 10:30 a.m. ET

The U.S. Women’s National Team has opened the 2015 Four Nations Cup with a pair of wins over Sweden and Canada and will face off against Finland today at 4:30 p.m. (local) at the Energi Arena in Sundsvall, Sweden.

Prior to the 2015 Four Nations Cup, the last meeting between the two teams at this event took place on Nov. 4, 2014 In that game, the U.S. defeated Finland, 5-0.

This year marks the 20th year of the tournament (previously the Three Nations Cup). and the 19th time the United States has competed in the tournament, having not participated in 2001. The United States has captured the title five times (1997, 2003, 2008, 2011-12), including two of the previous four years. Team USA finished third in 2013 and second in each of the other 12 tournaments it has participated in. The Americans hold an overall record of 42-5-5-23-2 (W-OTW-OTL-L-T) in 77 Three/Four Nations Cup games.
