U.S. Schedule Announced for 2016 World Cup of Hockey

Team USA will open the preliminary round against Team Europe on September 17th

Team USA’s schedule for the 2016 World Cup of Hockey was announced today by the National Hockey League and the National Hockey League Players’ Association. 

The U.S. will kick off the two-week tournament against Team Europe, a roster of European players born outside of Czech Republic, Finland, Russia and Sweden, at 3:30 p.m. ET on Saturday, Sept. 17, 2016. The Americans will face rival Canada at 8 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016.

All games will be played at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto.

Team USA will play in Group A along with Canada, Czech Republic and Team Europe. Group B will be comprised of Finland, Team North America, Russia and Sweden.
