GAMEDAY: U22 Select Team Faces Canada in Series Finale

LAKE PLACID, N.Y. — The U.S. Women’s Under-22 Select Team will face Canada at 6 p.m. ET today in the third and final game of the Under-22 Series with one win apiece.

The games are being held at the 1980 Herb Brooks Arena at the Olympic Center in Lake Placid, New York and are  streamed live on usahockey.FASTHockey.com.

The U.S. and Canada are meeting for the 11th time at the Women’s Under-22 Series. Team USA holds a 13-3-3-14-2 (W-OTW-OTL-L-T) record against Canada.

The U.S. has now won seven of the last eight games at the Women's Under-22 Series and outscored Canada 28-12 during that span.

Alex Carpenter (North Reading, Mass.) is serving as team captain and the alternate captains are Hannah Brandt (Vadnais Heights, Minn.) and Lee Stecklein (Roseville, Minn.). It is the fourth time Carpenter has served as a Team USA captain.

Four members of the U22 coaching staff are former National Hockey League players, including head coach Ken Klee (Indianapolis, Ind.) and assistant coaches Robb Stauber (Duluth, Minn.), Jeff Halpern (Potomac, Md.) and Chris Tamer (Dearborn, Mich.).
