Esposito, Rymsha, Harper lead in camp scoring

Massive Matchup: Team Black became the first to knock off Team Gold, but needed a shootout to do it. After the teams traded five goals in regulation, Nick Lund clinched the shootout for Team Black on a nifty forehand move. Lund also scored a pair of power play goals in regulation. Team Gold remains the camp’s first place team with ten points. Black and Kelly Green are the only teams that can still mathematically finish ahead of Gold in total points.

Scoring Race: Eric Esposito (Team Gold) had the offensive performance of the day Tuesday, with two goals and two assists in Gold’s loss to Black. Esposito is in a three-way tie with Drake Rymsha (Team White) and Patrick Harper (Team Kelly Green) for the camp scoring lead. All three players have totaled eight points.

Did You Know: Ty Amonte’s (Team Royal Blue) father Tony scored 900 points in 15 NHL seasons. He currently coaches Ty, along with Colin McCabe (Team Orange) and Casey Carreau (Team White) at Thayer Academy in Braintree, Massachusetts.

Did You Know: Ben Gleason’s (Team Royal Blue) bother Tim recently completed his 12th season in the NHL, helping the Washington Capitals to reach the second round of the playoffs this spring.
