Team Gold earns third consecutive shutout

Golden Performance: Team Gold is the only undefeated team remaining after a 9-0 triumph over Team Royal Blue to improve to 3-0. Twelve different Team Gold players hit the score sheet, led by four points from Christopher Berger and a hat trick from Matthew Koopman. Goaltender Ryan Keane posted his third straight shutout, this time turning aside eight shots. Keane has now stopped 40 pucks in his three appearances in this camp.

Offensive Explosion: Team Orange registered its first win of the camp with an eight-goal outburst to defeat Team Columbia Blue. Khristian Acosta led the way with four points, while Jack Gates and Mitch Eliot each added three. Goaltenders Brandon Bussi and Ryan Edquist each allowed only one goal.

Did You Know: Eliot’s father Darren spent parts of five seasons as a goaltender in the NHL. He currently serves as a studio analyst on Detroit Red Wings' television broadcasts.

Did You Know: Garrett Klee’s (Team Gold) father Ken coached the U.S. Women’s National Team to a gold medal at this year’s IIHF World Championship in Malmo, Sweden. Ken played nearly 1,000 NHL games for the Capitals, Devils, Maple Leafs, Avalanche, Thrashers, Ducks and Coyotes.
