Tickets On Sale Now for 2015 USA Hockey Natl Jr Evaluation Camp

Brian Brewster Added to 2016 U.S. National Junior Team Staff

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Hockey announced today that tickets are currently on sale for the 2015 USA Hockey National Junior Evaluation Camp that will take place August 1-8 in Lake Placid, New York. Candidates for the 2016 U.S. National Junior Team will face Finland and Sweden throughout the week in preparation for the 2016 International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championship, December 26, 2015, through January 5, 2016, in Helsinki, Finland.

Tickets can be purchased online at Tickets.com, by phone at (518) 523-3330 or in person at the Olympic Center Box Office. A single-day adult ticket, which includes two games, is available for $15, while students (17 & under) and seniors (65 & older) are $10. A full-session pass, which includes 10 games, is $70 for adults and $45 for students and seniors. All games will be played at the Olympic Center's 1980 Herb Brooks Arena. The 40 player roster for the 2015 USA Hockey National Junior Evaluation Camp includes 11 returnees from the 2015 U.S. National Junior Team, while 25 have won medals at IIHF events.

The United States has medaled in three of the last six IIHF World Junior Championships, including gold in 2013 and 2010 and bronze in 2011.  

Brian Brewster Added to 2016 U.S. National Junior Team Staff

USA Hockey also announced today that athletic trainer Brian Brewster (Houghton, Mich.) has been added to the support staff of the 2016 U.S. National Junior Team.

This will be the fourth time Brewster has served as an athletic trainer for a U.S. national team. He contributed to the gold-medal winning 2010 U.S. Paralympic Sled Hockey Team in Vancouver, British Columbia, and won a world championship with the U.S. National Sled Hockey Team in 2009 in Ostrava, Czech Republic. Brewster also served as trainer for the 2012 and 2013 U.S. National Inline Hockey teams, winning gold at the 2013 IIHF World Inline Hockey World Championship in Dresden, Germany.

NOTES: Ron Wilson (Riverside, R.I.), who directed the U.S. Olympic Men's Ice Hockey Team to the silver medal at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, British Columbia and ranks eighth all-time in National Hockey League history in wins, is the head coach of the 2016 U.S. National Junior Team. The assistant coaches are Chris Chelios (Chicago, Ill.), advisor to hockey operations for the NHL's Detroit Red Wings, Danton Cole (Pontiac, Mich.), head coach at USA Hockey's National Team Development Program, and Kevin Reiter (Pittsburgh, Pa.), goalie coach at USA Hockey's NTDP ... Jim Johannson (Colorado Springs, Colo.), USA Hockey's assistant executive director of hockey operations, is serving as the general manager of Team USA for the seventh consecutive year ... The U.S. will compete in a group with Canada, Denmark, Sweden and Switzerland at the 2016 IIHF World Junior Championship. For more information about the tournament, click here
