Series in North Carolina Marks Final Competition Prior to 2015 Sled Worlds

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The 2015 U.S. National Sled Hockey Team will take on Canada in a three-game series Thursday through Saturday (Mar. 26-28) at the Extreme Ice Center in Indian Trail, North Carolina. The games will serve as Team USA's final international competition prior to the 2015 International Paralympic Committee Ice Sledge Hockey World Championships in Buffalo, New York, in April.

"We're looking forward to competing against Canada this week," said Dan Brennan, general manager of the U.S. National Sled Hockey Team. "Our games are always extremely competitive and it should be a great test for our players leading into the World Championships in Buffalo beginning in April."

The series is the second major sled competition of the season. The U.S. previously competed in February when it won the 2015 World Sled Hockey Challenge in Leduc, Alberta. The tournament victory was Team USA's fourth in the last five major international events, including the 2012 IPC Ice Sledge Hockey World Championships in Hamar, Norway; the 2012 World Sled Hockey Challenge in Calgary, Alberta; and the 2014 Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia.

Eleven players that were members of the gold medal-winning 2014 U.S. Paralympic Sled Hockey Team highlight the 2015 U.S. National Sled Hockey Team roster, including goaltender Steve Cash (Overland, Mo.); defensemen Tyler Carron (Fort Collins, Colo.), Nikko Landeros (Johnstown, Colo.) and Josh Pauls (Green Brook, N.J.); and forwards Declan Farmer (Tampa, Fla.), Dan McCoy (Cheswick, Pa.), Kevin McKee (Chicago, Ill.), Adam Page (Lancaster, N.Y.), Brody Roybal (Northlake, Ill.), Paul Schaus (Buffalo, N.Y.), and Josh Sweeney (Phoenix, Ariz.).
