Schedule Set for Women's Worlds Pre-Tournament Camp

Camp Takes Place in East Meadow, New York, March 20-25

USA Hockey announced today the practice schedule for the U.S. Women's National Team pre-tournament camp at Twin Rinks Ice Center in East Meadow, New York, March 20-25. The camp will serve as preparation for the 2015 International Ice Hockey Federation Women's World Championship, taking place March 28 to April 4, at Malmo Isstadion in Malmo, Sweden.

The 23-player roster, featuring 13 members of the silver medal-winning 2014 U.S. Women's Olympic Ice Hockey Team, can be found here.

Ten players are participating in the 2015 Frozen Four this weekend and will join the camp in progress as determined by the results of their games. They are Alex Carpenter (North Reading, Mass.), Megan Keller (Farmington, Mich.), Emily Pfalzer (Getzville, N.Y.), Haley Skarupa (Rockville, Md.) and Dana Trivigno (Setauket, N.Y.) from Boston College, Hannah Brandt (Vadnais Heights, Minn.), Dani Cameranesi (Plymouth, Minn.) and Lee Stecklein (Roseville, Minn.) from the University of Minnesota, Michelle Picard (Taunton, Mass.) from Harvard University and Annie Pankowski (Laguna Hills, Calif.) from the University of Wisconsin.

NOTES: The U.S. earned the gold medal in the most recent IIHF Women's World Championship in 2013 and has played Canada in the gold medal game in all 15 of the previous events, capturing the event’s top prize a total of five times (2005, 2008, 2009, 2011, 2013), including four of the last five tournaments and five of the last seven. Team USA is 58-2-6-8-1 (W-OTW-OTL-L-T) in 75 career games and has outscored their opponents 505-117. Reagan Carey (Colorado Springs, Colo.), USA Hockey's director of women's hockey, is the general manager of the 2015 U.S. Women's National Team. Ken Klee (Littleton, Colo.) will serve as the head coach of the 2015 U.S. Women's National Team at the IIHF Women's World Championship. He will be assisted by Robb Stauber (Long Lake, Minn.), Bob Deraney (Providence, R.I.) and Brett Strot (Bradenton, Fla.).

USA Hockey board approved rule changes for 2021-22 this past June
