See How Several Members of the WNT Spend Their Turkey Day!

USA Hockey caught up with several Women's National Team players to see how they spend their Thanksgiving!

What is your favorite food to eat on Thanksgiving?

Lyndsey Fry: I love the pumpkin pie at the end of the night!

Kendall Coyne: My favorite food to eat on Thanksgiving is smoked ham and sweet potatoes.

Do you help with any of the cooking? If so, what is your favorite dish to make?

LF: If I’m able to help cook, I either help with some sort of dessert, or this aweseome dish made with faro, squash, red onion oil and balsamic, and thyme.

KC: I usually don’t help with the cooking, just the clean up at the end!

What are you watching on Thanksgiving: The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade or NFL Football?

LF: I always watched the parade in the morning as a kid since it was on right when we woke up in Arizona. Some day I would love to watch it in person!

KC: NFL Football

Does your family have any special traditions?

LF: We don’t do anything too special. We just all get together at my grandma and grandpa’s house. The meal is always pretty simple but just being with family is what it’s all about!

KC: We would always go to my Grandma’s house for Thanksgiving.

Who will you celebrate Thanksgiving with this year?

LF: Since I’m away at school, I will be celebrating at my roommate’s house. She lives about 40 minutes away and her mom is an AMAZING cook! It’s been such a great place to be on Thanksgiving throughout college. I’m so thankful that they’ve offered their home to me each year.

KC: This year I am going to my billet family’s house. I lived with them during the Olympic year. Being at school in Boston and with having a game right after Thanksgiving, we don’t have much time to go home to Palos Heights so the Beveridge’s welcomed me back…again!

What are you thankful for this Thanksgiving?

LF: I am thankful for many things but particularly my family, my friends, and everyone’s health.

KC: I am very thankful for my family, friends, health, my dog Jofa, and having the ability to play the game I love every day!
