U22 Gameday Preview: USA vs. Canada

After two games, 13 players have at least one point. Emily Pfalzer leads the way with four points/assists. She has two assist in each of the first two games. Two other players (Annie Pankowski and Dana Trivigno) each have one point in both games. The line of Haley Skarupa (1-2), Hannah Brandt (0-3) and Dani Cameranesi (2-0) notched eight points in Game Two. Goaltender Alex Rigsby recorded a shutout in Game Two and has stopped 34 of 35 shots she’s faced in two games.

Two players made their Team USA debut in Game Two - forward Maddie Elia and defenseman Alyssa Gagliardi. Gagliardi notched her first point/assist. Goaltender Nicole Hensley is looking to get her first career start for the U.S. in Game Three.

The U.S. and Canada are meeting for the eleventh time at the Women’s Under-22 Series. Team USA holds a 12-2-3-13-2 record against Canada. The U.S. has now won five in a row at this event and outscored Canada 20-7 during that span.
