U22 Gameday Preview: USA vs. Canada
The U.S. and Canada are meeting for the eleventh time at the Women’s Under-22 Series. Team USA holds a 10-2-3-13-2 record against Canada with the last meeting taking place on Aug. 19, 2012, when Team USA defeated Canada, 4-3. The U.S. has been outscored overall by Canada by a total of 90-69.
Ken Klee is the head coach of the U.S. Women's Under-22 Select Team and is assisted by Robb Stauber, Bob Deraney and Brett Strot. All time, Klee is the eleventh head coach for Team USA at the Under-22 Series. Alex Carpenter is serving as team captain and the alternate captains are Michelle Picard and Lee Stecklein.
Three players are making their Team USA debut and three players helped the 2014 U.S. Women’s Olympic Ice Hockey Team earn a silver medal at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia.
