COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Dave Ogrean, executive director of USA Hockey, will join Gary Bettman, commissioner of the National Hockey League; Dan Coleman, president of the USA Warriors; and Kevin Davis, president and CEO of Bauer Performance Sports, on Capitol Hill Wednesday (March 5) for a panel discussion before members of Congress and their staffs on how ice hockey can assist in the rehabilitation of injured veterans.

The event, slated to begin at 10:30 a.m. ET in room 2203 of the Rayburn House Office Building, is being hosted by the Congressional Hockey Caucus, including co-chairs Reps. Pat Meehan (R-Pa.), Lee Terry (R-Neb.), Mike Quigley (D-Ill.) and Brian Higgins (D-N.Y.). Luke Russert from NBC News will serve as moderator.

Wednesday evening the scene will shift to Kettler Capitals Iceplex in Arlington, Va., practice home of the NHL’s Washington Capitals, for the sixth annual Congressional Hockey Challenge. The event -- a friendly, but competitive ice hockey game pitting Lawmakers against Lobbyists -- will face-off at 7 p.m. ET, with proceeds benefitting the NHL scholarship of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund, Fort Dupont Ice Hockey Club and USA Warriors Ice Hockey.
