LAKE PLACID, N.Y. - Four women's teams set on a collision course for the 2014 Sochi Olympic Winter Games have a chance to measure up to one another as they gather in upstate New York for the annual Women's Four Nations Cup.

The games begin today and run through Saturday at the famed 1980 Herb Brooks Arena at Olympic Center, home of the 1980 Miracle on Ice. Canada and Finland play at 3:30 p.m. EST and Team USA meets Sweden at 7 p.m.

Hallowed Ground

The fact that the games take place in the same arena where the Miracle on Ice occured is not lost on the U.S. players.

Forward Kelli Stack said the team has talked about playing on home soil in such a famous rink.

"Just to play here is an unbelievable experience and we love coming to Lake Placid and playing in front of the fans here," she said.

Kendall Coyne said to wear the U.S. jersey in international competition on the same sheet of ice where Mike Eruzione and Mark Johnson led Team USA to gold.

"Every time you get to put on the U.S. jersey on U.S. soil and hear the 'USA' chant it just gives you chills," she said.

Stack is Back

Kelli Stack is 10 months removed from knee surgery and feels she is close to being back to full strength.

"I can definitely say that these last couple weeks I've been feeling more like myself," she said. "Hopefully I can have a big tournament here."

Bring on the World Tour Resumes

The tournament is part of the Bring on the World Tour, which includes two more stops in Grand Forks, N.D., and St. Paul, Minn., in December.
