2013 Deutschland Cup Roster Announced

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – USA Hockey today announced the 21-player roster for the 2013 U.S. Men’s Select Team that will compete in the Deutschland Cup Nov. 8-10 in Munich, Germany.

All 21 players on the roster are currently participating in European elite leagues in Finland, Germany, Russia, Sweden and Switzerland.

Highlighting the U.S. squad are 13 players who have U.S. national team experience, including seven players that have combined to win 11 medals at International Ice Hockey Federation World Championships.

Also included on the roster are five alumni of USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program, including forwards Chad Kolarik (Abington, Pa./University of Michigan), Phil McRae (Minneapolis, Minn.), Peter Mueller (Bloomington, Minn.), and Rhett Rakhshani (Huntington Beach, Calif./University of Denver); and goaltender Jeff Frazee (Edina, Minn./University of Minnesota).

Additionally, two players – defensemen Jeremy Dehner (Madison, Wis./University of Massachusetts-Lowell) and Andy Wozniewski (Buffalo Grove, Ill./University of Wisconsin) – skated for the U.S. Men’s Select Team at the 2011 Deutschland Cup.

The U.S. Men’s Select Team is set to play Slovakia in its first game of the 2013 Deutschland Cup on Nov. 8 at 10:30 a.m. ET. A complete schedule can be found below.
