USA Hockey announced today that tickets for the Four Nations Cup, set for Nov. 5-9 in Lake Placid, N.Y., at the Olympic Center, will go on sale Monday, Sept. 30, at 9 a.m. ET. Tickets can be purchased at the Olympic Center Box Office, charge by phone at 518-523-3330 or here online.
The Four Nations Cup, which is part of the Bring on the World Tour for the U.S. Women’s National Team, is an annual tournament that has been held in varying forms since 1996. Canada, Sweden and Finland will join the U.S. in this year's event.
The United States will open the tournament against Sweden on Nov. 5 before competing against Canada on Nov. 6 and Finland on Nov. 8. The championship and third place games will be held on Nov. 9.
“We’re looking forward to the Four Nations Cup in Lake Placid and continuing on our road to Sochi against some of the best teams in the world,” said Reagan Carey, director of women’s hockey at USA Hockey and the general manager of the 2014 U.S. Olympic Women’s Ice Hockey Team. “It will be a good measuring stick for our team and the fans will enjoy a sneak peek at some of the premier talent that will be playing at the Olympics.”
As part of the Bring on the World Tour, the U.S. Women’s National Team will also play Canada three other times in the U.S. in preparation for Sochi, including Oct. 12 at Gutterson Fieldhouse in Burlington, Vt., Dec. 20 at Ralph Engelstad Arena in Grand Forks, N.D., and Dec. 28 at Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn.
